About Case Converter

Convert identifiers and text between naming conventions: camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, CONSTANT_CASE, kebab-case, dot.case, path/case, UPPER CASE and lower case.

The input convention is detected automatically, and acronyms are split correctly — for example myURLParser becomes my_url_parser. Convert many names at once, one per line.

How to use

  1. Paste one or more names, one per line.
  2. Keep Auto Detect or choose the source case, then pick the target case.
  3. Click Convert and copy the output.

FAQ

Which naming convention should I use?

It depends on the ecosystem: camelCase for JavaScript/Java variables, PascalCase for classes, snake_case for Python and SQL, CONSTANT_CASE for constants and environment variables, and kebab-case for URLs, CSS classes and CLI flags.

How are acronyms handled?

A run of capitals followed by a capitalized word is split before the last capital, so HTMLElement becomes html + element and userID becomes user + id.

Are numbers kept?

Yes. Digits stay attached to the preceding word, so version2Name becomes version2_name.
